The Word on the Project

The Nehemiah Project – A Summer Leadership Training and Equipping Program
Eight weeks living in community, studying, meditating, serving, learning.

The Nehemiah Project is about equipping you for leadership, it’s about growing in your walk with Christ individually, along with the community. We will walk out our faith by practicing different spiritual disciplines such as, study, worship, fellowship, prayer, simplicity etc. Intentional Christian community is a strong value, therefore you will live in community with one another in close proximity to the communities with whom you will work in Columbus, Ohio.

A typical morning will include private devotional time, worship, prayer, and teachings which will move you towards an understanding of what it means to lead within the community of Christ. During the afternoons and evenings you will have a wide variety of opportunities to make an impact for the Kingdom of God among young adults, youth, and the poor. You’ll lead an inner city community development project, run a weekly worship gathering for young adults, serve with student ministry, coordinate integral events, and so much more. While in Columbus, you’ll be working closely with Heritage Christian Church, Mosaic (the Ohio State Univerity), and Otterbein Christian Fellowship.

Set aside June 10th through August 5th this summer for the inaugural year of the Nehemiah Project. Visit gcmweb.org to apply today.
